Hallam Foe

// September 1st, 2007 // 1 Comment » // Edinburgh, Film, Funny, Scotland

Myself and Laura intended on watching The Borne Ultimatum, but found that despite having tickets, there were no seats left. Thankfully we ended up watching Hallam Foe, which won best film at the recent Edinburgh International Film Festival. Staring Jamie Bell who played Billy Eliot in the film Billy Eliot.

Great film, check out http://www.jamieclague.co.uk/blog/2007/08/16/hallam-foe-edinburgh-roofing/ for a review from Jamie who went to the Edinburgh Film Festival Premier to watch the film on the opening night of the Festival, 15th August.

Myself and Laura Visited the Safari park just North of Sterling, Scotland. Apart from the the usual attractions you would expect at a safari park, you could also walk and watch shows.

Below is a picture of a sea lion before the sea lion show.

Next you will see a picture of the performing sea lions at the indoor show.

There was also a bird of prey display, although that had problems.

The Owl was one of the birds that cooperated with the handler, unlike the eagle who wouldn’t fly across the open water.

The Falcon above, flew back and forth to catch some dead rat, nice.

I do feel that some of the birds should either have been flown more frequently, or be put in a large Avery with a longer rope attached to there feet.

The picture of myself and a pig, was taken in an area where you could interact with the animals.

Having watched Evan Almighty, I didn’t go as far as stroking a Lama like some people!

Glasgow Airport

// July 19th, 2007 // No Comments » // Laura, Scotland, Travel

I picked Laura up from Glasgow Airport, having returned from her interview at Cardiff University. I only went along to see the state of the Airport terminal after recent events.

I was quite surprised in that the builders appear to have been hard at work, as you can see on the image above. It would think everything will be back to normal for mid August.
