This is the last Carlsberg branded shirt to be worn at Anfield, as the 18 year long sponsor deal comes to an end. Apparently it’s to raise last minute awareness of the brand in China, as the City of Liverpool has a display in it’s Chine’s twin Shanghai, where the World Expo in taking place. The sponsor replacement will be Standard Chartered from next season onwards, which is also a Far Eastern venture.
